44 ft Sailing Catamaran in LOTA, Queensland for sale

Ill heath forces the sale of this refit project. Launched in 1988 this catamaran was designed and professionally built byJohn Glennis with input from John Hitch. This boat is a very forgiving cruising cat ,having endured 60+ knot storms and handled the conditions well. We removed 2½ tonnes of unnecessary weight and extended the transom an extra metre so the performance should be considerably improved.
The boat boasts 4 double cabins and 2 heads with galley and navigation station up design. Nine people can be comfortably seated around the saloon table and the main bunks are mid ships improving the comfort. The aluminium mast has a hydraulic in mast furler simplifying the handling of the main. The trampolines are larger than the modern designs and a beaching ladder built into the catwalk is a great advantage.

Two new Kabota 28 HP diesels, uni joints and 32 mm shafts have been fitted as well as 14 Maxwell hatches. Including the anchor winch .hydraulic steering autopilot etc this represents over $35K worth of parts so the glass over ply and strip plank hull represents excellent value for the astute buyer.
Located at a marine hardstand with reasonable monthly rates.
